I have been appointed a World Scientific Publ. Co. book series Editor for the new book series "Concrete and Applicable Mathematics" (CAAM).
This series basically intends to publish high quality strictly refereed books in all of Mathematics and their applications including Probability, Stochastic Processes and Statistics and Computer Science, EXCEPT OF NON-APPLICABLE PURE MATHEMATICS.
SO THIS MESSAGE IS TO CALL FOR BOOK PROPOSALS AND MANUSCRIPTS. The books we will consider should be in one of the following groups: upper level undergraduate, graduate level, research level. We intend to publish texts, monographs, proceedings of conferences, handbooks and compilations of papers, etc.
The published books will be suitable for students, researchers, libraries in Mathematical Sciences, Engineering, Economics, etc.
Interested potential authors should send 3 hard copies of their book proposal (about 10 pages) or 2 hard copies of their book in final form (at least 130 printed pages), along with 2 disk copies of book content, regular air mail, NOT REGISTERED, no e-mail submissions, to:
Department of Mathematical Sciences The University of Memphis
Tel (901) 678-3144 office
Book/manuscripts may be set in any of the TEX, LATEX, AMS-TEX, AMSLATEX different versions , FOLLOWING THE WORLD SCIENTIFIC PUBL. CO. STYLE FILE EVENTUALLY, when accepted for publication, and may be obtained from www.wspc.com.
The authors may provide us a list of 5 possible referees to be used in case our long list of referees does not contain the appropriate persons to do the refereeing job of the particular proposal/manuscript. They should include full coordinates including a mail, fax no.,tel. no. etc.
Briefly speaking: "CAAM" book series can include any kind of book from Applied Mathematics and Applicable Pure Mathematics and their everywhere applications and connections to other sciences.
Working concretely and applicably in Mathematical Sciences has become one of the main trends in the last fifty years internationally, so we can understand and solve the complex problems of our scientific and real world.
Developing software related to a book material is strongly encouraged if applicable.
